Photoinitiator

Introduction

Photoinitiator absorbs a certain wavelength of ultraviolet (250-420nm) or visible light (400-800nm) energy, generating free radicals, or cations, etc., thereby initiating monomer polymerization and crosslinking curing compounds.

Photoinitiator Types

The full name of photoinitiator is UV curing photoinitiator, which can be divided into three categories:
1. Photoinitiator,
such as
2. Photosensitizer
Free radicals, such as BP, are formed by the hydrogen abstraction reaction and

Selection guide

  1. Select appropriate photoinitiators according to the type of prepolymer and monomer.
  2. Food solubility and reactivity, less dosage, and high triggering efficiency.
  3. Shall have a certain thermal stability, does not decompose below 85 ℃, and should have long-term storage stability.
  4. It is better to use several photoinitiators in combination, which can initiate curing in different wavelength ranges, which is faster than a single photoinitiator.
  5. Photoinitiator is used in combination with amine accelerator EDAB.
  6. Small odor, no poison, and no environmental pollution.
  7. Cheap and easy to get low cost.
