Antioxidant BX AO TPPI

Introduction

Antioxidant BX AO TPPI which also known as antioxidant TPP, performs very well as an auxiliary antioxidant, flame retardant, and age resister. It is broadly used in PVC, PP, and PS industries to maintain products’ photostability. Other usages include the chelating agent and stabilizer in PVC industries. TPPI also serves as an intermediate in manufacturing trialkyl phosphite ester. 

 

Advantages: Triphenoxy group, metal chelation, anti-yellowing in the early stages of processing,  preferred for rigid transparent PVC and ABS.

Phosphorus content 10.0%, high anti yellowing efficiency during processing, outstanding synergistic effect with hindered phenols like 1135/1315.

No plasticizing effect, does not reduce the hardness or modulus of rigid products.

low cost, wide versatility.

 

Disadvantages: No alkyl chain, extremely poor hydrolytic stability, rapid hydrolysis, yellowing and fogging with long-term use.

High phenol release, strong odor, high fogging value, restricted for automotive and low-VOC exports.

High volatility, resulting in significant losses during continuous high-temperature processing; prone to migration and blooming.

Poor low-temperature resistance and water extraction resistance, unsuitable for outdoor, water-related, and foamed materials.

 

Suitable for: short-time injection molding of ordinary rigid transparent PVC and ABS; low-cost transparent formulations.

Not suitable for: automotive foam, PU foam, medical applications, long-term outdoor use, and high-humidity products.
