BX UV PUR 55

Introduction

BX UV PUR 55 is a BHT-free liquid heat stabilizer blend suitable for polyether and polyester-based flexible foams. As an equivalent of BASF irgastab PUR 55.

Application

BX UV PUR 55 is particularly suitable for stabilizing polyols used in the manufacture of flexible foams. PUR55 can also be added with additional antioxidants and/or co-stabilizers (e.g. phosphites) and/or light stabilizers (e.g. hindered amine light stabilizers (HALS), UV absorbers)

UV PUR 55 has good anti-scorch, anti-fog, and anti-textile dyeing properties. irgastab PUR 55 is a pourable liquid that enables dust-free handling, automatic dosing, and reduced mixing times. It can reduce weighing and metering into one operation, thereby improving production efficiency.
In bulk polyol applications, PUR55 can be used in concentrations ranging from 0.4% to 0.7%, depending on the degree of stability required. Additional performance data for polyols are available upon request.
