Description

BX CA EPDM is prepared by EPDM reaction grafting maleic anhydride because it introduces a strongly polar side group (maleic anhydride) on the main chain of EPDM molecules, so maleic anhydride grafted EPDM can be a bridge to enhance the adhesion and compatibility of polar materials and non-polar materials. In the application of nylon + glass fiber modification, it can react with the surface-treated glass fiber to improve the compatibility of nylon with glass fiber, thereby improving the tensile strength and impact strength of nylon. BX CA EPDM can be used both as a compatibilizer and as a flexibilizer, as a nylon compatibilizer it is also suitable for PA/PE, PA/PP alloy, which can improve the toughness of the alloy, BX CA EPDM as a nylon toughening agent, its low-temperature toughness and fatigue resistance are very superior

The principle of nylon toughening

EPDM elastomer grafted maleic anhydride in the toughening role is the elastomer part, the higher the proportion of addition, the better the toughening effect, usually can not exceed 20%, and the main role of the active port of maleic anhydride is to connect with nylon, the closed loop of maleic anhydride meets the amino group of nylon, the closed loop opens, the amino group of the access nylon reacts to link, and generates water molecules, so the role of the elastomer part is toughening, and the role of the maleic anhydride group is compatible.

1. It can be used as a compatibilizer between nylon and glass fiber;
2. It can be used as a nylon flexibilizer;
3. It can improve the adhesion between nylon and polar materials.
