Antioxidant, UV Absorber, Flame-Retardant For Polyurethane

Polyurethane abbreviated to PUR and PU is a polymer composed of organic units joined by urethane links. Polyurethane products often are simply called “urethanes”. Polyurethane is used in the manufacture of high-resilience foam seating, rigid foam insulation panels, microcellular foam seals, and gaskets, etc.

Polyurethane could be classified into polyurethane form plastic, polyurethane adhesive, polyurethane coating, polyurethane fiber, polyurethane elastomer by applications.

Flame Retardant For Polyurethane

For halogen-free flame retardant for polyurethane, BDP, MCA, ADP can be used as non-flame retardant for polyurethane. DBDPE, antimony trioxide can be used as flame retardant for polyurethane as well.

Antioxidant, UV Stabilizer For Polyurethane

Hindered phenolic antioxidant 1076 or 1010 together with 5057 is suggested to use in polyurethane’ processing. UV absorber P and hindered amine light stabilizer 770 is suggested to use together to protect PUR from ultraviolet light. The typical use of antioxidant and UV stabilizer additives for polyolefins as the table below.

Organic Pigment For Polyurethane (please click on title)

Things to know when choosing pigment for polyurethane

For polyurethane coating, it requires the organic pigments used for coloring to be largely insoluble in the solvents concerned. Good solvent fastness, particularly to dimethylformamide, is often not a characteristic of organic pigments.

For polyurethane form usage, high heat resistance and fully dispersed of pigment are required.
