BX UV PUR 68

Introduction

BX UV PUR 68 is a new liquid heat stabilizer mixture suitable for polyether and polyester-based flexible foams. It is a BHT and amine-free blend. As an equivalent of BASF irgastab PUR 68.

Application

irgastab PUR 68 is particularly suitable for stabilizing polyols used in the manufacture of PUR flexible foams. PUR68 can also be added with additional antioxidants and/or co-stabilizers (eg phosphites) and/or light stabilizers (eg HALS, UVA).
irgastab PUR 68 has good anti-scorch, anti-fog, and anti-textile staining properties. It has excellent resistance to foam discoloration, especially after exposure to gas and/or light. PUR68 is a pourable liquid that enables dust-free handling, automatic dosing, and reduced mixing times. It increases productivity by reducing weighing and metering into one operation.
In bulk polyol applications, PUR68 concentrations range from 0.4% to 0.45%, depending on the degree of stability required. In molded polyol grades, the recommended content of PUR68 is 0.05% to 0.1%.
