Summary of structural differences

Primary amides (oleamide, erucamide): Primarily for film surface slip and easy opening; significant migration

Things to know about using slip agent

  1. Exceeding the recommended dosage can lead to blooming and adversely affect printing, aluminizing, or lamination bond strength.
  2. In multilayer co-extrusion, high-migration amides (such as oleamide) must not be placed adjacent to nylon or EVOH barrier layers; migration across layers can cause delamination and poor heat-sealing performance.
